Reviews

On World Book Day 2026, we had the pleasure to host the very talented Woodzy for our assembly and year 10 poetry workshop. The students and teachers were wowed by his beautiful work and his ability to draw out ideas from the pupils in creating their own poems. It was great to have such a positive role model for the students to look up to and also so important for the boys to see a young man so clearly into words, creating work and crafting language in such a powerful, deep, mesmerising and ‘cool’ way. We will definitely be looking forward to hosting him again in the near future to work with our students again.

Katrina Millard, Moon Hall School

Woodzy ran 5 back to back poetry workshops with our year 10 students- It was incredible! Our students were very engaged throughout and created some beautiful poems- I would highly recommend the workshops. They were very relevant to the GCSE poetry syllabus too- Thank you Woodzy.

Jemma Newman, Peacehaven Community School

Woodzy assembled, led and performed alongside a crew of incredible poets at Money20/20 Europe and Money20/20 USA for over 15,000 delegates. Three amazing activations included; a live improv show created by Woodzy inspired by “The Sound of Payments” an incredible “Poetry Service” that offered delegates personalised poems written live in front of them on vintage typewriters and a headline performance at our 2,000 capacity Industry sponsored by Google.

Woodzy is always an incredible addition to a Sofar London lineup. Not only is he a hugely valued member of our artist community, but he also has done an amazing job of MCing some of our special shows. In addition to being a hugely talented wordsmith, his presence always has the audience feeling at ease. His natural ability to hold the space in such a relaxed yet professional way as an MC, solo spoken word artist or alongside musicians, makes him a joy to work with and we have loved watching him grow as an artist!
